Volume 9, Chapter 6 Spoiler Discussion Thread: Let's Shine a Light on this Rusted Knight

I mean Jaune has spent decades wandering the Ever After and lost thinking he would never see Team RWBY again. Also was tricked and POISONED by Alyx. Then finding out Curious Cat sent Alyx and Louis to the tree and Alyx betrayed Curious Cat and killed her own damn brother.

Yes Jaune didn't realise that Curious Cat was being honest because he spent a very long time feeling screwed over and realised that when going to the tree in his viewpoint means death. Also Curious Cat acts like its no big deal to the people from Remnant and Jaune tries to keep himself together.

Plus Jaune broke the others out of their argument about Atlas and even told Ruby and Weiss about the whole storm thing and helped them around. Also Jaune probably went through this storm many times as he knows it by heart meaning he went through multiple mental breakdowns.

Curious Cat even acted like meeting Jaune is no big deal even though they must've knew how mentally messed up Jaune was.
